YWAM DTS Iquitos Peru 2011

This video just makes me so excited to get there in Peru, in February, and devote my life to serve Jesus with everything I have! I love this video so much, and I watch it when the enemy has me doubting my decision. It's so easy to believe what the enemy says. But I have a greater teammate on my side!! JESUS!! He washes away all forms of doubt and fear that the enemy tries to sneak in my mind! Jesus knew me before I was even in my mothers' womb, and he has a plan and a purpose for my life! Peru is where he wants me to be right now, and I'm going there with a servant's heart! Thank you Jesus for every plan and purpose that you have for everyone. All of my friends and family, and those that I don't know! You're worth every sacrifice and hard day!

The beginning of it all

My whole life I've watched my dad go to different countries and share the love of God. I've always wanted be apart of something amazing. I've always wanted to make a difference someway, somehow. At the beginning of this year God has placed Peru on my heart. After months of praying about what my next steps should be, God showed me YWAM. YWAM is Youth With A Mission. Their goal is to be the word of God and share his love and mercy; to be the hands and feet of Jesus. That's what I wanted to be apart of! I looked up YWAM for Peru and found their Discipleship Training School (DTS).  It's 6 intense long months of growing and being the hands and feet of Jesus. The first 3 months in growing as much as you can and growing deeper in your realtionship with God. The last three months is putting into practice what you've learned.

My youth group actually planned a missions trip to Peru in the Summer. We stayed there for 2 weeks. We stayed at the YWAM base and went with their leaders to the inner cities. I was able to see where I would be staying, and exactly what I would be doing. Jesus is so wonderful, he knows excatly how I am. I have to know specifics like that! My parents went with me so they were able to meet the leaders and be more encouraged by my decision!
